Joyful English Style Loft Conversion Lounge

This loft was once just storage space with a pull-down ladder. Now, it has transformed into a welcoming and airy seating area, atop a new set of stairs. It is ready for re-reading favourite novels, setting up an easel, or stretching out for shavasana. The room even converts into a guest room when needed.

I styled this loft space from the North West London Project with a mix of joyful and traditional details. The playful patterned blue blanket over the sofa, as well as the chenille grey throw, both sit harmoniously with the soft purple-grey wall colour. Large, down-filled cushions are scattered, to sink into. The traditional warm wood side table is topped with coffee books to peruse, lit by a gorgeous ceramic vintage lamp with a vintage lampshade. A scented candle creates a relaxing mood once lit, and fresh blooms, in a vintage Scandinavian crystal vase, bring life and a pop of colour.
